The Tale of Two Birthdays

Hello everyone, this is Paul. I’m posting today to mark a special birthday.
For a very long time, April 26 was my birthday, or at least the day I believed was my birthday. But those of you who have followed my story know that when I discovered my real identity in 2015, I finally learned my real date of birth: October 27.
Then, in 2019, after years of searching, I finally found the rightful owner of that April 26 birth date—the real Paul Fronczak. One of the first things I sent him was a copy of his birth certificate, so that he would know this basic, fundamental fact about himself—a fact that he’d been deprived of his entire life.
There is a great deal more to this story, as most of you know, and I have had to keep much of it secret in order to protect the privacy of certain people involved. However, I am getting closer to the point where I can finally share the full story with you.
I have always wanted to share my story with as many people as possible, in order to help me in my searches, but also to raise awareness about the many hundreds of thousands of people like me who are struggling with identity issues and undertaking their own journeys of self-discovery. One of the ways I decided to share my story was through a documentary.
That documentary, entitled The Lost Sons, was completed this year and is currently showing as part of the Copenhagen Film Festival. Eventually it will be in theaters, before airing on CNN (I will be posting more information about it as I get it).
I have also finished writing my second book, which picks up where my first one, The Foundling, left off—with me trying to solve the disappearance of the real Paul, and also find my missing twin sister, Jill. The new book will tell the full story of both of these searches, and I will update you when I can about its availability.
After that, I would like to do a special Zoom conference with all of you, or as many of you who can take part in it, so that I can answer all your questions and personally thank you for all of your continuing, and critical, support and inspiration.
Meanwhile, I will be marking today by wishing the real Paul a happy birthday, and I hope you all can join me in having him in your thoughts. Thank you, as always, and I’ll be back very soon with more information.
